From life on the water to something of my own
I’m Eric Simmerman, the founder of Moo & Mangrove. I’m a master captain, and I’ve spent nearly 20 years working on the water.
My skin needed care, so I started making simple skincare products at home for myself. What began as something personal became something I wanted to share. Today, I’m bringing those homemade products to market through Moo & Mangrove.
A connection to making things by hand
I also lived on a sheep farm in New Jersey with my family, where I helped make artisan cheese. Making something by hand has been part of my life, and I’ve always wanted to create something of my own.
Moo & Mangrove brings that wish together with a need I knew firsthand: simple, thoughtfully made skincare for everyday life.
Made locally in Southwest Florida
Our products are made locally in Port of the Isles, just outside Marco Island in Southwest Florida. This is where the “Mangrove” in Moo & Mangrove comes in—a connection to the mangroves and coastal surroundings of the place where we make our skincare.
Simple products, made with care
Our tallow skincare is handcrafted in small batches, with grass-fed beef tallow and thoughtfully selected ingredients. The collection includes tallow cream, tallow balm, body butter, and lip balm.
Thank you for being part of this next chapter and for taking a look at what I’m making.
